2008 “Buckhead Family Turns Pesto into Thriving Family Business” – See John Kessler’s
Atlanta Journal Constitution Article here - http://www.ajc.com/living/content/living/stories//2008/10/04/hopes_garden_pesto.html " FRESH PESTO I love fresh pesto. It is just so hard to find really good pesto that is like what we eat in Italy.
Well, the search is over! We now carry a fantastic pesto made here in Atlanta with the same care and attention to detail that
we put into our pasta. It is called Hope’s Gardens Pesto and
we carry it in 4 ounce jars. Made from fresh basil grown locally, extra virgin olive oil, Parmigiano Reggiano, pine nuts and
garlic this is pesto at its best and most delicious." – Elisa Gambino, Owner – Via Elisa Fresh Pasta
“So, tonight was our BIG night and you must know,
it was awesome. I am still tasting the meal. The pesto was such a hit. We did as I told you earlier, grilled
succulent Gulf shrimp seasoned only with kosher salt, fresh ground pepper and extra virgin olive oil. It turned out
absolutely to perfection . . . sweet, tender with a bit of smokiness from the grill. Then, we prepared our pasta al
dente and poured on top of the basil pesto already waiting in the bowl. I gently tossed the hot pasta with the pesto
until all pasta was nicely coated. Then, I added in all the shrimp and topped with freshly grated Parmigiana Reggiano.
I used the micro plane, so the cheese was like soft fluffy lace. Words fail me when I try to describe the taste.
Delicious will just have to suffice.
Also, it is only a little over 24 hours since the 12
jars of pesto was placed at my front door and we only have six remaining, with two going to my brother's home in the morning.
I knew it would be a hit, just had no idea how big of a hit. I'll be ordering again soon. You must advertise somewhere
as there are so many people like myself that would love having great pesto delivered to their home.
Thank you over and over for your willingness to comply
with my request. You have made many people in the tiny hamlet of Woodville, Texas very happy
indeed.” – Barbara Allison, our first out-of-state delivery customer.

Le Petit Marché delivers international
goods
Marchet Sparks
By
Hope S. Philbrick
Since opening in Kirkwood Station late February 2008, Le Petit Marché
(the Little Market) has attracted customers with its French country charm and its shelves laden with unique local and international
goods. The Sunday Paper recently talked to owner Marchet Sparks for an inside peek at the specialty gourmet grocer and deli.
How’s this store different? It’s unique in that it looks like it belongs in Provence,
southern France. It looks very country cozy but is very modern at the same time in terms of its whole look and feel. The music
helps create a Euro lounge kind of look and feel. And the store is beautifully designed; there are concrete acid-stained floors,
smooth ceilings, stainless steel appliances—people say they feel like they’re getting away from the hustle and
bustle of the city when they come into the store.
We carry very unique fine specialty foods like cheeses imported from
Italy, and a lot of local items. Some of our most popular products include Hope’s Garden Basil Pesto which is
a local product made in Buckhead; Rinse soaps made by Heather Swanpoel; Red Bird Ink custom stationery by Julia Farill;
and K Chocolat which is locally made in Decatur by Kristen Hard. We also carry Brandi Barnes’ Just Add Honey Teas and
pair that with local honey out of Marietta. Le Petit Marché is located at 1963 Hosea L. Williams Dr. It’s open
Monday through Saturday, 11 a.m.-7 p.m. and Sundays 11 a.m.-5 p.m. For more information, call 404-371-9888 or visit www.lepetitmarche.net.
